Spoken-4 Communications, LLC
Scholarship
The Spoken-4 Communications, LLC Scholarship was established in 2006 by two former HBCU graduates to assist incoming freshmen, as well as currently enrolled college students, in offsetting the financial obligations of attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in the United States. The scholarship recognizes both academic distinctions as well as strong individual character.
Eligibility
Applicants Must:
- Be a United States citizen
- Be currently enrolled in OR have been accepted into an HBCU in the United States
- Possess a minimum overall/major Grade Point Average of 3.00 or above (on a 4.00 grade scale) and a Minimum SAT score of 1300 (math and verbal only) OR possess a minimum overall/major Grade Point Average of 3.00 or above (on a 4.00 grade scale) and a Minimum ACT score of 28
- Have demonstrated leadership through participation in community, church, extracurricular, or other service-based organizations or activities
- Complete and submit all required scholarship Spoken-4 Communications, LLC forms
Selection Criteria
Applicants will be selected based on overall academic performance, community involvement, references and essays.

Required Forms
- Typed Essay (250-300 words, double spaced, using 12pt font) Topic: "Why I'm The Best Candidate For This Scholarship"
- Completed Spoken-4 Communications, LLC application
- One sealed copy of the applicant's official high school transcript
- One copy of the applicant's current course load
- Two letters of recommendation; one from an instructor/teacher and another from an advisor, counselor, administrator, or other person who can objectively attest to the applicant's abilities and character; Each reference letter must include the following:
- Reference's position and/or title
- Description of the applicant's motivation and potential for academic success
- Description of the unique and distinctive qualities that describe the applicant personally
